Meet Your Therapist
Alicia Gilbert, LCSW
We all need support in this world. Sometimes we need help in finding our own inner strength, ability to cope and find new ways to experience life. We may yearn for a better existence but do not know how to get there or may feel discouraged.
I am privileged to join with you in a collaborative therapeutic relationship, which I provide in a supportive, trusting, comfortable and non-judgmental atmosphere, anywhere in NJ or in my Cherry Hill office. I strive to empower you to make the positive and meaningful changes that you are seeking. This can be the new chapter that you create in your life!
Building on your existing strengths, we can move forward to better manage stress, increase coping strategies, increase your mental and physical well-being, heal, bring better balance, build confidence and develop healthier relationships with yourself and others. Together, we will work to understand what may and may no longer be serving you, to create the life you have always desired!

01.
One of my main therapeutic goals is to help clients view themselves with compassion rather than judgment. As human beings, we are all in need of compassionate and respectful support. By nourishing our need for self-care and compassion, we build up our own inner resources for ourselves and to thrive in the world we live in.
02.
I believe that the mind and the body are connected, and that the therapeutic process is most effective when both mind and body are attended to and engaged through an integrative approach. As a psychotherapist, I incorporate mindfulness, meditation and breathwork with the physical experiences in the body. I explore the holistic connection between the mind, body and spirt in conjunction with more traditional forms of evidence-based practices through talk therapy.
03.
I value the relationship with clients and feel it is defined by mutual respect as well as collaboration. I perceive clients as active and trusted participants in their own growth and healing. Through this therapeutic journey and this collaboration, I assist clients to heal as well as work with them to grow their internal resources to increase feelings of self-love, safety, self-worth, support, confidence and
self-empowerment.
